I agree. I did not say anything about Saab engines. I was talking about GM
Australia or other subsidiaries using non-Saab engines. My '96 9000CS had
the 2.4 LPT & it was exceptional (except for the motor mounts that don't
seem to want to last past 36K). If you think the Saab 4-cylinder was smooth
you should drive the 4-cyl. Accord. Can't even tell it is running except
for the tach.

The thing that gives me confidence in GM engines continuing to improve is
the Northstar V-8, which is a masterpiece! Also had GM engines in my boat
with the Mercruiser stern drive. Excellent pushrod reliability & durable
as hell. Saab on!!
