The first 993s imported into the US were '95 models, so you won't find the same model in a '93 or '94!
I'd agree that the 993 was the perfect Porsche. Just refined enough to make it liveable on an every day basis, but true to its strong, fast, unique roots. The 996 is nice, and a technical delight, but I still like the 993s more.
For me, I'll take just a basic Carrera (nee 2) coupe. Throw in some 17" wheels and I'm set. My father had a second-hand '95 just like this, and he was as satisfied as he could be with it. His had an extended warranty, which was a nice feature, too. Porsches are expensive to repair!

9-3SE that behaves kinda like a Porsche. Ummm.... well, it's reasonably quick are rides like a sports car.... and it's red...
