I believe the Sonnet II and Sonnet III both fall under the 97 model designation. The Sonnet III was just a re-bodied Sonnet II. Typically this would have resulted in a new SAAB model designation but perhaps the separate Sonnet II and III designation was considered sufficient. The 98 is actually a 96/95 based hatch/wagon like vehicle that never went into production. Now for the part I am really confused about. I went out to get a link to the 98 information and found out that the 98 was started AFTER the 99. If this is accurate does anyone know why they skipped over 98 when they introduced the 99 and then went back to 98?
