...if Saabs were not an option. One would have to seat 4 and carry the cargo area of Saab's hatchback, so either a Volvo,Audi or BMW wagon. Since none of those have the "sporty" feel/look to them, I'd need a coupe like a BMW M3 or Boxter. Of course now we're talking about over $60k-$70k which is rediculous (I'd rather upgrade my boat). So now GM would've not only lost a customer, but raised the sale and profit of it's Euro competitors. Not good for either of us.

No I'm not brainwashed by Saab, but after owning and/or driving several American, Japanese and Euro cars I've come to appreciate the many practical qualities of Saab which compliment my daily life. Saab's goal of creating a versatile/utility/sporty/safe car years ago matches my likes and needs. So replacing all of that will not be easy or cheap for me.

But, this is assuming GM dumps Saab, someone steals my current Saabs, parts for Saab disappear with everyone who knows how to work on them and all other used Saabs vanish. Man that's a scary thought!

Thanks for the fun topic,
