It's gotta be the mentality of the owner

When we bought our 9-3 from the closest dealer, we were told the car didn't come with ANY security fobs. When we hesitated on buying the car, they "found" a pair in their "lost & found box." But, they told us the fobs needed to be reprogrammed to our car at our expense. Here we are, spending WAY more on a car than I ever thought I would, & the dealer's nicking us for an extra $45! Then, they "good will" the 1st oil change for us, but when I go to have it done they don't carry ANY of the recommended oils for the car. NONE! They tell they'd be happy to get me a semi-synthetic of a recommended viscosity, saying it'll only be a "minor" upcharge. When I go to pay for my "good will" oil change, they've added $5 PER BOTTLE upcharge for the semi-syn oil! At that time, full-syn cost less than that at full retail price.

The next-closest dealer has the same mentality, so if I really want decent service I've got to go to the dealer who's farthest away (nearly two hours from where I live). I think it has to do with how they view the customer: are they a "sale" or are they a "client"?
