There is a reason why both BMW and Porsche are offering Torque Vectoring on their top of the line configurations for multiple cars and SUV's in their lineups, despite some of their offerings are really passive system using the brakes. Torque Vectoring really works: it makes the car feel much lighter than it actually is: my 4300lbs 2014 MDX drives like a sub-3000lb car in terms of lightness (like my 2800lbs E28 528 from many years ago; nowadays even a roadster weighs that much if not more).
Just like vehicle dynamic stability control and brake force distribution, the computer in Torque Vectoring systems is doing what the driver has no control over using only the 3 pedals and the steering wheel: there is literally no manual control in a car for applying different torques or brakes to each different wheels, nor is it possible due to the 0.6 second delay in human reaction time vs. the 0.01 second for those computers.
For a daily driver, asking the driver to operate at 99% of his attention all the time is unrealistic, and when couple to 600 horsepowers, that would be asking for accidents, like many super cars indeed have on public roads. Defaulting to advanced computer control is a good idea. When on the track, one can easily dial back the computer control. It's rather silly for the dead tree commentators to fault the carmaker for making available the option of safety. Only shows that the car leaves little to criticize.
As for comparing to women and sex, sure there are wannabes who think somehow it shows their talent to enjoy orgasm with ugly star-fish. For men who can afford it, a pretty woman who is good at giving head and can moan passionately at the right rhyme when taking it up wherever is simply so much better :-)
