Straight line acceleration is about power to mass (weight) ratio.
Turning (rotational acceleration / going everywhere else) is about turning-torque to angular moment-of-inertia ratio.
Torque Vectoring (especially the active kind like in NSX and MDX) literally introduces additional vehicle rational torque . . . in a form that is even better than even the conventional source of vehicle rotational torque: instead of getting that rotational torque from leaning into the front outside wheel like all cars do, the Acura SH-AWD system produces it from making the outside rear wheel actively spin faster than the inside wheels. That's how the SH-AWD car is made to feel super light in turns and doesn't lean.
You have to drive it through turns, pushing down on the gas peddle instead of the brake and feel the car rotating itself to your steering input and fling around the corner to appreciate how great the system is.
