gm gave me that line as well Posted by Snowmobile [Email] (#686) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Snowmobile) on Mon, 20 Nov 2017 08:48:45 In Reply to: Re: they are everywhere here also, cheaptech [Profile/Gallery] , Thu, 16 Nov 2017 16:08:30 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
when the ng9-3 came out, I wrote asking why no hatchback? I had a friend who had just bought a Merc hatchback because SAAB had stopped making hatches (was replacing an Acura and interested in SAAB)... gm's response was that most people leaving the brand were buying SUVs (not sure if the 9-7x was released at that point, or about to be)... In my observation, at least around here, people weren't leaving SAAB to buy Trailblazers - they were getting things like Outbacks and Foresters, which are indeed classed as SUV's, but are not that far removed in size and shape from a SAAB wagon - just raised a bit with AWD. So I really think GM missed the boat on that one. 9-7x was not a raging success, and though some bought into the large SUV thing, I think something like the 9-3X would have been a big seller in 2004/2005, rather than waiting until 2010 and any confidence in the brand by the masses was completely lost...
