My point regarding the November Regal sales number you quoted is that Regal numbers are misleadingly low of late because 2017 model inventories have been picked over and there are no 2018 model inventories yet because the all-new 2018 Regal hasn't been released yet. Normally by this time, 2018 models would be out and selling. Alfa Romeo, for example, has new 2017 and 2018 Giulia models available right now.
If the new 2018 Regals were available, the Regal numbers would be higher but they only have aged/picked over 2017 models available. A fairer comparison would be when both models are in full production with suitable inventories, not when one model (Regal) only has limited availability of leftover 2017s and no 2018s.
