Performance is just one aspect that drives sales - to move Camry and Accord from their long held reign at the top of the sales charts one has to produce an exceptionally good automobile - thus far it doesn't seem to be happening, both for the regal and a whole slew of other competitors in the mid size sedan class.
Now the Giulia is typical considered in a different class with overall less sales volumes - so my point was that given it's class and a new model it has sold reasonably well - nearly as well in the US as the Regal, which has been around for quite some time.
One doesn't see Camry and Accord drop way down on the sales charts because they are in a transition year - their solid reputation helps to carry them thru to the next redesign. Posts in this Thread:
