I saw one in a bank parking lot a year or 2 ago (not sure exactly what the "new" one is). I thought it was beautiful. But I wouldn't want one even if someone gave it to me. I think that's really the point of the passage - who wants that type of car?
The guy who came out of the bank and got into it looked like an accountant nearing retirement (I'm a 67 year old lawyer so I'm not one to talk).
A friend of mine bought one when he retired and it sits in the garage while he spends more time driving a Smart Car.
Another friend of mine was riding his bike through a fancy subdivision when an old guy in a 'Vette, with a much younger lady in the passenger seat, stopped and told my friend he had no business riding a bike in the subdivision. My friend asked him if his daughter felt the same way.
