I participated in a track day "against" an LS1-converted Z32. The exhaust was loud and terrifying - it would come up behind you at an incredible speed and then just yell until you got out of its way. So. Loud.
I'm not sure I would despoil any of those '90s Japanese supercars with a Chevy V8, but I can't deny the appeal. And, from looking under the hood of that track day car, an LS-equipped Z32 is probably much easier to work on than a VG... and that goes double for a turbocharged one. They really crammed that thing in there!
