My guess is that the Tech who replaced the lower intake manifold gasket back in March placed this boot on the plug but never seated it fully. Under high engine load conditions the cylinder would mis-fire due to this very loose connection. I inspected the plug end and boot internals then reseated the boot properly. Tugged it off and re-seated it again to get a good bite through any old carbon on the connection. I did not clear the code from the ECU just in case this was not the solution and the car might need to go back to his local Dealer for repair.
