I just was passed by a new Mazda 5 - hadn't noticed them until recently... we drove one once on a long trip (3000 miles) + well, I can't say much good about it... fuel economy was great... not sure what else... anyway, the old design looked ok for what it is, but wow, they've done some weird contours on the new one... increased the family resemblance by adding a "Joker" front end (which is not surprising) but the back end? used to be a kinda clean minivan look... now the D pillar is blacked out tail lights are like a mazda 3 or 2 or something... the combined effect is it looks really strange + squat...

maybe some will like that? I dunno... just thought of this wrt all the ugly car discussion over on the general bb...
