I hope they stick with the plug-in hybrid option even
after the Volt sales disappointments. What's going
to be interesting is to see what happens to the existing
power grid when a quarter of the neighbors plug in their
cars overnight. We already get an outbreak of transformers
exploding and manhole covers flying every summer, that will
just make it worse. Still, a plug-in hybrid seems like the
right solution for a lot of the US.
I read it was smaller inside than the existing Fusion -- too
bad, ours fits 4 adults with ease, something I'd hate to
give up. Guaranteed to be more expensive, so I guess I'd better
keep after the maintenance on the current car :).
Is at a dual-clutch 6-speed automatic? I hope they pay attention
to what goes wrong with the ones on the new Focuses (Foci?) and
get the kinks worked out.
