I myself really like the 1998-2002 CLK coupe, especially its styling. However, all Mercedeses from 1996 to 2002 suffer from rust problems, sometimes severe. That always stopped me from owning one of that vintage. Supposedly the corrosion issue was addressed in 2003-2004 that is why I was curious about the W203 Kompressor C-class.
I own a W124 E320 and as much as I love that car, it is just too slow and heavy compared to the Saab. I assume the C and CLK are a lot peppier.
