I leased one for three years, but it had the V6. It was a nice car, and the only problems I had with it were the front rotors constantly warping. At the time I also owned a 91 Integra with 300,00 KM on its original rotors, and neither my 9-3 nor 9-5 since have warped rotors, so probably not my driving style. GM had an upgrade for them and the Grand Am, lasted 8000 KM instaed of the usual 5000.
Long and short of it is, if you have this problem, look for good aftermarket rotors.
