I believe the retard spring in yours was the better one but now I shim them to get the retard curve I want! This is compared to your modified one, the stock one's spring was a joke!
In my own C900's and early 9000's I use the T5 injectors without a fuel re-map and dial in my latest fully adjustable RRFPR for the right air/fuel ratio.
You say "RRFPR (same black color, braided lines and b/w check valve are present"? Is the braided line you're referring to something that came attached to your RRFPR with a black and white one way valve? If it is it's the small diesel fuel line with cloth braiding I use for vacuum line on my adjustable rise in rate RRFPR's so it should also have an adjustable needle valve like the one in this photo of my 9000 Talladega.

If yours is the same it is a feasible combination with the #431 T5 injectors! I can walk you through how to properly set the regulator but you'll also have to reset your Air Mass Meter back to around 200 to 225 oms from its original setting of 360 or what ever stock is. Maybe give me a call so we can go over exactly what you have for a RRFPR and go from there.
