and the car ran just fine.

Turbo was GT28R Garrett BB. Power is around 310hp crank. Stock autotrans 120k mi.
The car ran fine for years & around 60-70k mi. before I switched to GT3071R & transmission converted.
The trans still shift fine when I converted the trans.

Make sure you have proper adjust idle trans cable. Replace trans fluid every 10k mi,
and do NOT request a lot of boost during a little gas pedal. You can boost a lot if you near or on WOT. T5 suite can adjust.
No MBC please.

That's the only work you need when dealing with auto trans.
