The 2nd gen M3 turned in 0-60s of 5-6 seconds depending on equipment and who tested it. 1/4 mile was usually right about 14 seconds. The 250hp 9-5 turned in 0-60s of 6-7 seconds and 1/4 miles right around 15 seconds. Of course, these are optimum times turned in by people who were probably thrashing the cars. If high rpm clutch dumps and lots of tire smoke aren't in the plan, the gaps may narrow a little.
In any case, from a standing start the M3 has a clear advantage simply as a result of traction. From a rolling start, or maybe over a long distance the Aero may have the edge - they are (obviously) extremely strong in the midrange speeds. Once ~100mph and a 1/4 mile goes by, the Saab may close the gap. May.
Nice thing about turbocharged cars is that a few bucks gets you a 25%A boost in horsepower and torque. Adding another 60hp to an M3 is a "significant" cost. If he beats you stock, agree to each spend $600 on your cars and try again. ;)
