I have been wanting to get this for my Viggen, as the one I have is the standard non stainless exhaust with the Viggen tip. Unfortunately, this part was discontinued a long long time ago and no longer exists. It's so rare that in all the years that I've been looking for it, I never found it.
I have been in contact with a representative of Remus and after a couple of months of correspondence, I have finally been able to get them to remanufacture this part provided I can get a BULK order. I would need 30 people to order the parts (well, 28 if I include myself and another member here). They have gone as far as to look for the old jigs to produce this. The only thing is that the tip would not say "SAAB" for obvious copyright reasons. This is only for the rear muffler, not the center pipe. The cost would be 599 + 60 for shipping. Sure, this might sound expensive but it really is a special remanufacturing of a part that no longer exists and one of extremely high quality.
This is a rare opportunity for anyone who owns a Viggen (or an OG 9-3, really) to have this elusive and long discontinued part. But I can't do it alone, I need people to commit.
This is all the information I have for now. This might take some time to get in order, so I am starting early. Please let me know if you would like one, but only if you are absolutely serious about it. In the event that I can get 30 people, I will have to provide a deposit of half of the total amount.
I would also appreciate it if you could spread this to all of your friends in the Saab community. I will try to do the same.
