Distributor Options for B202 motor

Here is my dilemma.
I have a '76 99 running a built B202 16V turbo motor controlled my a MS-II controller. I have recently had a worsening erratic idle situation that I have diagnosed as probably a bad Hall Sensor in the Distributor. With a timing light I can see that it occasionally misses on cylinders 2 & 3, I rotated the distributor and wires 90 degrees and the miss moved to cylinders 1 & 4. So it must to be distributor related.
I am running Bosch Distributor #0 237 506 009, it seems parts are not that readily available and rebuilt distributors are non-existent.
Can I run any other Bosch distributors? Like the '94-'98 N/A 900 http://www.eeuroparts.com/Parts/43077/Bosch-Distributor-New-5337704/
Is there a better Dist. option for a performance build? (hoping to get this motor tuned to the high 200+ HP range)
Or should I just install this replacement Hall Sensor and splice it into the wiring harness? http://www.eeuroparts.com/Parts/5498/Crankshaft-Position-Sensor-Repair-Kit-Hall-Effect-Splice-7484546K/
How difficult is this to install in the distributor, it looked like I may need to drill out the pins/rivets holding the stock sensor.
Does anyone have suggestions for parts and/or a rebuilder?
Thanks in advance for any and all help
Kris
