The local performance machine (Thompson) shop did it when I was getting the headgasket replaced. I don't think it can compare much with a 2.3 P&P head from SPG9 but I wasn't even in the market for a head until the gasket crapped out. I don't have much info on what they did except "P&P and valves",,,this was one of the only times in recent memory that I made a decision without really looking into it...you know...real busy week/car at shop for a week/do it all, it's all apart already-decision:)
I've had a bad boost problem until tonight so I can't say a lot on it other than 18psi screams compared to before. I would probably need a bigger turbo to capitalise on the benifits of better flow.
The boost problem was a bad Viggen 20psi BPV! It held vacuum but leaked when pressurised,,,,I went months not finding the pressure leak. It turns out that the brass fitting in the BPV is still encased in a flexible diaphram, and that's what ruptured.
WHen it dries up a bit I'll do some high psi runs and see how the overal performance is and report back
