SPG9 APC adjustments:

My Stage 2.5 APC from SPG9 is giving me astronomical boost pressures since I put on a new HP wastegate and fixed a pressure leak (some will remember). Well...when I had the pressure leak (15-18psi max) I was curious as to what pot adjustments would do. They seemingly have had no effect. Today I turned the _F_ and _P_ pots quite far back near the original positions and I'm still getting 26psi spike and 23-24psi sustained to 5KRPM (20-21psi to 6KRPM), absolutely no change in any wat from the cranked up settings. Interesting thing is my base boost is around 6.5psi right now,,,I think I'll turn it back just a bit to get rid of that spike!

Performance update:

With the BB T-body and head job the torque curve seems very linear compared to stock T-body and head, where I would get an outrageous torque jolt from 3500-4500RPM, then power would fade a bit at upper RPMS. Real nice change!

A/F readings are SCREWEY this week! it never seems to reach .8V but boost never fades or knocks down,,,no pinging either! What's up with that?! MAybe the gauge is wonky, but I do remember that it started immediately after put in NGKs (from +4s)and reduced the plug gap to .024. The A/F sweep while cruising is more concentrated in the centre of the STOICH region of the gauge (yellow...can't remember the V off hand) now. This confuses me. Probably no big deal.....couldn't be a fuel problem as There is no indication of wavy boost from pinging, could be wrong though...

later
