HI, Greetings from Australia!
I took my Sonett down to get roadworthy checked on Friday - only needs to be done once at first registration of imported LHD car.
Anyway it got rejected because th esuspension had been lowered AND there was Chrome stuff under the hood!!!
My biggest issue is finding stock springs orthe front and rear.
Does anyone know where I can get some from and a reasonable price, incuding shipping to Australia?
I saw a post by Eric who gave the specs of the rear springs but can someone gibve me th especs of th fronts??
Eric's post follows onto this.
As for th eChrome, I think I will eb ok, but just in case, where can I pick up a pair of "rocker covers" (THats what we call em), as well as the pipework for the cooling system an dthe header tube?
I hope th eanswer is nowhere as it might help my case, buthe inspector was very anal.
Erics POst
Here's what I can tell you, which isn't too much...
According to the Factory Sonett manual, the rear Sonett springs are:
- 7 1/2 coils of 0.4 inch wire diameter
- total length of 12.5 inch
- max spring expansion of 5.9 inch
