My Sonett is a '74 so the wheel may be a bit different, but maybe this will help you:
-- From the horn button on the wheel, the wire passes down the center of the wheel and down a passage inside the upper steering column. There is a slanted hole where it comes out, just above the place the upper column joins the lower column. This end of the wire wraps around the column a few times (to provide slack for when you turn the wheel) and joins to the wiring under the dash.
I had a LOT of trouble working the electrical wire through the passage inside the steering column. If I went from the top, it would miss the slanted hole, and if I went from the bottom, it would get stuck because it was too limp. What finally worked for me was to take a stiff metal wire and push it down the column from the steering-wheel end, and work it around until the end poked out the slanted hole. Then I fastened the electrical wire to the end of the metal wire, and used it to pull the electrical wire back up to the steering wheel end.
Good luck!
