I replaced the Alternator and works fine now. It was not to hard at all to access without removing the bonnet, just remove the valve cover and hose first. Remember there is a third bolt under the bottom bolt to loosen, it will make putting the alt back in easier. Also if you haven't replaced the 3 back hoses on the water pump, here's your chance. I found that part stores cannot test these on their machines, maybe because the regulator is separate. I tested my spare alternators by putting a blanket on the hood, ease the wires out and use half a jumper cable for the ground. Put a half inch drill on and hold on tight while spinning. Be ready for it to try to jump out of grip after 5 or 6 seconds, that is the good ones starting to charge. Good thing I had 6 spares, only one of them was good! I had a great deal of welding done on the hatch floor, shortly before the failure, and wonder if this may have caused it.
