Iv'e got one more take on this clutch issue.Maybe someone with more understanding of the mechanics of the clutch can shed more light on it. My engagement problem started after I reinstalled the altered disk from Jack. I do understand that if the clutch was manufactured incorrectly it would have a shorter life because you would not be able to make full use of the friction thickness. It would prematurely loose its ability to fully engage.I'm wondering if that also makes it more forgiving of the excess wear on the clutch lever. That alteration that Jack performs with the rivets moves the disk a similar distance as our shims. Is it also possible Sachs could have changed their disks in response to complaints about that they were not disengaging. Most cars using that disk have an old worn out lever.I'm suspecting that little bit of clutch judder I still have is caused by the wear on the lever and was just aggravated by the axle problem
