Re: BS282 Silver Grey - Saabnet.com Bulletin Board
Sonett 161 might have the info you seek on the silver gray paint. Mine turned out to be the Silver Sand
Sonett 161 note:
I could not find a specific paint chip / color code for the silver/grey for the Sonett. After a month of research by myself and the paintshop we ended up bringing a paint specialist in. He studied an area on the car that had the least impact (fading, discoloration, etc..) to the original color and worked up a blend from that.
The paintshop has my name on the color we ended up with. We also had plenty of discussion on metallic verse non-metallic. We went with a slight tint of metallic.
If you are ineterested in the color then I will obtain the ingredients and mix percentages and forward them to you. Let me know.
Good luck on your Sonett restoration!! (and keep us posted)
