Fuel Filler Hose Replacement Posted by juanm [Email] (#201) [Profile/Gallery] (more from juanm) on Thu, 25 Jul 2019 10:01:36 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Hi
Yesterda, I was working on my 1974 Sonett III and I realized the gas level was very low. So I got my gas container, removed the gas cap on the side of the car and started to put some gas in the tank. I could hear the fuel entering the tank and then I could hear another sound and wondered if the gas was leaking out somewhere. YEP! through the rubber filler hose that goes from the filler cap to the tank.
I removed the hose and now I have to replace. Hopefully I can get a fuel-approved 1 3/8-inch hose locally. (I measured it an I think that is the internal diameter - probably `35mm). As you might know it has a bend in it.
Anyone know of a source for this hose? Thanks.
Juan
