You may have either better or worse luck in B.C. than we do in the U.S., depending on your Saab importer. In the U.S., some vintage Saab parts are still available through Saab dealers -- the trouble is that they don't show up on the computer, so often the parts-counter guys will tell you they're not available! If you happen to know the correct part number (or can get them to look it up) and persuade them to place the order anyway, sometimes your part will turn up!
However, you'll probably have better luck dealing with a marque specialist. Two that many of us rely on are West of Sweden SAAB and Jack Ashcraft Saab Parts (check the classified on this website; I think both of them have ads with contact info.) Jack A. is in Oregon, so closer to you than West of Sweden (which is in Virginia) but you might as well check both. Motor Sport Services in Jamestown, NY, is also worth checking, although they specialize more in performance/race parts; they do have some ordinary parts (I got a brake piston from them, for example.)
Often you can substitute parts such as the brake slave cylinders etc., as these are standard Lockheed items that were used on other makes of cars -- but you have to know WHAT to use as a substitute, so a specialist's advice is helpful.
