Well I haven't had much time to play with my 74' Sonnett this year but I did get the carb and points done and the car run around the block wonderful. In fact I was convinced that I shouldn't sell it to afford another restore. Untill.... this weekend when I took it out to run a few errands before the football game. Packers vs. the Vikes!! This is the longest trip I have taken it on and it was all of about twenty miles. The first ten miles brought back the excitement of my little car. The last ten brought back the negative excitement of being stranded at the store I went to.
The car died at the gas station (felt starved for gas) restarted and parked at the hardware store. Wouldn't restart at all. I played with the carb linkage and on the side of the carb a mechanizim popped and the car started. had to stay on the gas to keep it running for the trip home. Left it idle while I moved something to get it in the garage. While I pulled it into the gargage it died again and I pushed it in. Any ideas. Warm engine??? help please
