Memememe choose me! Stock pumps are available AFAIK and nothing really wrong with them. If you need originality in your rig, don't change over.

Electric pumps have several advantages if you prefer practicality to originality.

A) Available anywhere. Your stock pump dies in a small town, think you'll find a replacement? Hahaha.

2) Inexpensive.

III) Easily replaced if mounted in a reasonable place.

Roman Numeral 4) Reliable and long-lived in my experience.

I use Airtex E8011 and carry a spare. If it dies I can be cruising again in about 20 minutes. It is mounted in the engine compartment, left side behind and below the exhaust downpipe, out in free air not close to hot metal. It is well-insulated acoustically. I can hear it thump faintly with key on, but not once started. I have never had an issue with inability to draw fuel from the tank. Some designs of electric pumps are better at sucking than others.
