Took the test drive Saturday. Engine and brakes felt real solid but have an issue with the clutch.I have what I think is called Clutch judder. Unlikely that it has anything to do with the master. The pedal feels real solid in and out when tranny not engaged. Have all new clutch components so I'm hoping for a simpler answer. I have a memory of an old VW that had to be revved to a high rpm during clutch engagement to keep the whole car from shaking. Don't remember if I ever corrected the problem but I tried this in the garage (too late to drive with no lights) and the judder went away. A flat spot at low RPM might be causing the problem. A web search verified this as a possible cause. I have not yet rejetted the carb I was using on the old 1500 engine with stock cam.
Anyhow the info wanted on the parts. I got both master cylinders from Checker but looked them up online first. Their online price ($35) for the new Beck Arnley clutch #0726521 was about $20 less than the store price. If you print the page and find one locally you can get it for that price and save the shipping. The only thing that needs to be done for the swap is to change the end of the hose coming from the master to a double flare. I had a new ss braided line made up. The brake master is a rebuild by Cardone ($29) #111721. They have several other choices for more $ but I went cheap not knowing if it would work. Both these units fit a 73 Datsun(Nissan) 620 pickup. Like I said the clutch is pretty straight forward. If you do the brake I would suggest reading Kansas' posts on this subject. I would also be glad to talk to you by phone on what mistakes to avoid.
Good luck
