1993 Volvo 960 Wagon (Posted 9/12/2006) SOLD

I am the third owner, with the first a dealer. I have all repair records from second owner and myself. It has been properly maintained. Engine is a straight six without turbo and is a fast car. Auto trans has three settings, economy, sport, and winter which bypasses 1st gear. Tires are Aquatreads with 30% wearin rear and bad wear pattern in front and need to be changed. Wheels are in great condition. Body has no rust, some dings no dents. This a a very versitile car with rear seats that easily fold flat with headrests sliding into seat. Built-in childs seat in rear and third row seat in back. Fully optioned with tan leather, power memory seats, 2 airbags, sunroof. I have two of these wagons. I bought this for wife to replace 1990 wagon but she won't give it up. This is my daily driver but just bought a Saab 9000 that needs a turbo replaced so I must sell.

STUNNING California Volvo 240 in NY state. No, this is not a car for everyone. Not too many people will appreciate this car, but if you are a Volvo 240 person, you will appreciate it and you will certainly NOT have seen another one around like it. ABSOLUTELY STUNNING CONDITION! NOT RUSTY!!! People who are not even Volvo people say, "I didn't know they still made those," or "That is a really beautiful car!" Mirror finish. Notice the trim on mine is nice and dark, the way they all used to be. Cold A/C, Sony CD player, new PCV, new air cleaner, oil just changed. In NY just last few years, not driven in the winter-- garaged! Just turned 127k. Beautifully kept. I never end up driving it lately, so maybe the right 240 lover will come along to buy it. Yes, I know the book values, but this is not a 240 like any other around.

Fast, large, and safe, runs and drives excellent. 222hp high pressure turbo. AT, ABS, traction control. Car is loaded: leather, 16" alloys, climate control, moonroof, heated seats, 3rd seat, 6-CD changer, power everything. Front and side airbags, SIPS. Class III tow hitch, roof rails. Also includes 4 Hakkapellittas on rims, with covers. All records since 66k (stamped book before that) and all services done, including timing belt at 71k. Body nice, no rust. Many new parts: battery, alternator, heater core, shocks/struts/mounts, lower A-arms, rear rotors and pads, rebuilt ABS/Tracs module. Just serviced including tranny flush. Yes, I know it's the other Swedish car but! I bought the car last October while my '01 Aero was being overhauled. Turned out to be a great car, however, the Aero is back on the road. 5 cylinder, turbo engine; 4 spd auto trans w/ O.D. - and an Econ/Sport switch that stays in the position. Exterior is in very good to excellent condition with only a few minor dings/scratches. Glass is all good. Interior is tan leather in good condition - some wear on the driver's seat but really nothing severe. AM/FM/Cassette radio, Power drivers seat, power moon roof, and the usual goodies (P/W, P/S, A/C, ABS, SRS,Cruise). Timing belt professionally replaced at 85K miles, many new parts including; pads, front rotors, plugs, wires, thermostat, mats, load bars - Needs nothing. Would make an excellent primary car, a great station car or first car. Asking what I got into the car but willing to negotiate with interested parties.
