Al Riskalla, his crew and parts organization are the best friends your Saab
ever had. Prompt service, a commitment to getting it right, and rides to nearby
destinations or MBTA stops are hallmarks of this friendly and helpful outfit.
Jim Maloof and the gang over at the parts store (617) 776-2978, make the
operation more efficient than many dealerships, and are a great resource for
the do-it-yourselfer.

ABJ has done an outstanding job keeping my 1990 Saab 900S running like a
charm. Al, the owner, is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, and his
prices are very reasonable. I recommend him highly.

These guys are great.  They have been servicing 2 of my 900's for the last
five years.  They are a mostly Saab shop and are very knowledgeable on these
cars.  They do good work and always stand behind their work.
Submitted by Jeff Epstein

I would also like to give a strong recommendation for ABJ.  Al   (the owner) is very knowledgeable and has a staff of very good mechanics.  They are very reasonably priced and were always very prompt and professional.  I would also recommend them for working with diesel engines, I had very good experiences with them working on my 1998 Jetta TDI.  Two thumbs up for Al and the ABJ crew.

Both myself and a co-worker own Saab 93's. On different
occasions we have had work done here. The service is great and Mike the
mechanic is really experienced with Saabs. He goes out of his way to
accommodate his customers. I highly recommend you service your Saabs
here. I have a CPO vehicle so warranty issues go to the dealer. For
everything else, I go here and nowhere else.

We just bought a convertible Saab. We were somewhat nervous because we have
never had a Saab. We were somewhat relieved to find a "Master Mechanic" in
our back yard. Bob; the owner of the establishment is polite, courteous and
extremely knowledgeable about Saabs. I would recommend him to anyone who even
remotely thinks about buying a foreign car, let alone a Saab.

When nobody else could figure out what was wrong with my 1991 SAAB 900S,
Patric did. Patric Rooney (ASE Master Tech., SAAB Master Tech.) is
knowledgeable, honest and pleasant to work with. He has worked on my car on
several occasions and I'd bring it to him every time... if only he were a
located little closer to where I live. I'll continue going to him any time
major work is needed. It's definitely worth the trip and peace of mind.

Patrick Rooney (ASE Master Technician/17 years Saab experience) is one of
the most honest and competent Saab mechanics that I've encountered. I
recommend him highly. He's keeping my 91 9000CS running like at top for a
fraction of what the dealer would cost.
Submitted by A. Wolfrey

Since I moved to MA in '99, Patric has been taking excellent care of my '94
Aero and '86 900S. He's an extremely good technician, with very fair
pricing. He's a very nice guy too! He frequently has a loaner car available
if you schedule an appointment with enough notice. This is a great shop.

This place is hidden on the back side of a old classic Corvette
dealer on Rt. 1 just over the bridge from Newburyport headed south down
Rt. 1 into Newbury, Mass.  Owner is VERY cool older guy that mainly
works on 99 and 900 but has some older 9000 around.  He will ONLY work
on SAABs and SOME Volvo's. He use to own a LARGE independant SAAB repair
shop in the area and has scaled back since then to a one man shop.

John has been servicing all models of Saabs for over 35 years. I

have never met a more competant, honest and diligent mechanic in my life.

His commitment to his clientele is un-matched by any independent or Saab

dealership. Your vehicle is repaired the first time at a fair price. His

father Clarence owned one of the original Saab dealerships in the USA

(Import Motors) and John continues his fathers legacy. You will not be

disapointed! BTW, I have owned at least 25 Saabs from 99gle, 99Turbo, to

my current 1992 Saab 900 Turbo.

I have a "fleet" of four Saab 900 classic: 2 for my boys in college, one
for my wife and the sleek shiny SPG for me. JG Service has been maintaining
these cars for some time and I must say this is the best shop in the area.
Very thorough and conscientious, great attention to detail, all at very
reasonable prices. Call John, he also has a good stock of used Saab parts.

fast, and do great work. They are also a low-pressure environment, unlike

Trust me, this shop is not much to look at, But the work is far superior
than most. I have been dealing with Lenny (proprietor) for years, thru 3
SAABs of my own, my mothers Volvo and countless folks I have sent to him
(especially after hearing their horror stories)I have never had nor heard a
complaint and trust me, to bring your mother to a shop, you better trust
them! Anyway this shop specializes in SAAB and Volvo, good prices,
knowledgeable mechanics, and diagnostic skills. Never have I had to bring my
car back for the same problem.

Just had my 87 900 Turbo over and what a great place. Bart does great work

Bart at Quantum has been servicing my '97 900S since '99 the
car always returns from his shop better than when it went in. They only
work on Saabs and Hondas. They have been very fair in regards to all
repairs on our car. I'll continue to bring our '97 to him and our '02
9-3 to him for any non-warranty work without hesitation.
Submitted by George Sykes

Quantum Mechanics has been specializing in Saab & Honda
vehicles since 1980. The owner Bart and myself are Saab nuts who have
been fortunate enough to make a living working on the cars we love. We
have evolved from the days of 99's & 96's to the classic & new 900's and
on to the 9-3 & 9-5's.

Quantum Mechanics is an independent Saab shop that opened in
1980. The owner Bart Guiney and his staff (that's me!)have been
fortunate to work on the cars that we love while serving the Saab
community on Cape Cod for 25 years. So if you're vacationing on the Cape
and need our services, or have a Saab question or just want to check us
out, stop by & say hello.

…And he has turned that SPG into a Viggen. When I drove my new 2000 Viggen on to his lot he came out with a tape measure to get the actual placement of the Viggen emblem. His car his beautiful but he won't sell it to me. He also does excellent work above and beyond my list of "fix its". He will fix the SID during lunch rather than replace it.

Brothers Doug and Phil now run their father's garage.  They are honest and
knowledgeable.  They have a loaner Vol*o which you can reserve. Prices are
fair and work is done quickly.  They close at 5:00 but I normally paid with
credit card during the day and they'd leave the keys for me.  NEVER had a
billing dispute. Not open on weekends. Specialize in Swede mobiles and
German. Sidenote: Bought my wife’s car from them a 93 Vol*o and inherited
unknown electrical gremlins.(Not apparent before purchase). Doug stood by
that car and finally solved the problem (replaced ALL computers) He lost
his shirt on that car but gained a customer for life. Wife crashed it a few
months later, hehe. Tell them you heard it from me.

Neil Cerrina is the mechanic and owner of the shop. He is unbelievable
when it comes to SAAB's. His knowledge and expertise rises above the rest.
Because he knows the car so well, his labor cost is less due to the less
time it takes him to fix things. I would recommend him to anyone.
Submitted by Jeffrey Stewart

I must agree!! Neil Cerrina is an outstanding SAAB Tech, as well as honest
and fair. I brought my wife's 93 9000CS to him for some cooling system work.
He talked me out of some unnecessary part replacements, and saved me a
bundle. A dealership would have taken my money an ran! As long as I live in
the area, Yankee Garage is where my SAAB will be serviced.
