Sandy has worked on my Saab 900s since 1992.  He worked on my new one at the
Saab dealership in Greensboro.  Since then I have had four more 900s, Sandy
is the only one that has worked on them.  Sandy knows Saabs!!!!  He is very
reasonable priced and does what he says he will do.

Joe's Autoshop is primarily a Jaguar repair place. There are lots of
Series III XJ models laying around. Sandy Bullins, Joe's son repairs Saabs
on the side. His full time job is at a local dealer. He allows you to use
your own parts and doesn't charge much for labor at all. I was charged $80
in labor for a job which included changing the rear motor mount, the
dogbone mount, the charcoal canister and the pollen filter. He is an
extremely nice person and is willing to help. I tried actually to give him
more, and he wouldn't accept it. Try him out if you live in the
Greensboro/HighPoint/Winston Salem area. Leave a message with his dad at
the shop with your # and he will get back with you.

Read about Sandy on the Saabnet mechanics list and decided to call him about
some oil leaks on a 96 900SET I had just purchased. Very nice guy. Diagnosed
the problem, invited me to watch and learn about Saabs, fixed the problem,
and came in below his already low estimate. It doesn't get any better than
this! I highly recommend him!

More on Sandy Bullins. He has serviced three 9000's and one 9'3 since 1995
for our family. I have never had anyone diagnose, remedy and explain
mechanical problems with anywhere near the skill and expertise of Sandy. I
trust Sandy and his ability to keep us safe, operational, and satisfied, all
at a level that is exceptional, while charging exceedingly reasonable prices.
He has maintained our new Saabs and also has been challenged with a used Saab
we bought which was in terrible condition. Rarely does one have complete
confidence in someone's ability and integrity, so, wherever you are, it is well
worth the drive, for both you and your Saab, to seek out Sandy Bullins.

North Point Motors is located in the north area of Winston Salem off Highway 52

with easy access. I strongly recommend using this shop.

Andre at Patterson Performance helped me fix a ruptured power steering pump that
broke while we were travelling. He saved me hundreds of dollars (they had a used
one in the shop) and gave me priority over his other jobs to get me back on the
road. Based on my experience I'd recommend them to anyone. The shop is close to
the 440 beltway and Capital Boulevard.

Very talented owner/mechanic that can fix just about any Saab related
problem.  Have brought my 86 9000 to him several times in a pinch and he
always manages to fit me in.  Seems to allow customers to supply their own
parts and is quite helpful to all his customers and their families.  Closed
weekends.  Jose is Costa Rican and is fluent in both espanol and ingles.

job was done right.  His prices are far below anywhere else I have gone and he
has always been really easy to deal with.  I highly recommend him to anyone who

Dennis Bennett is the owner/master tech and I was very pleased with his work.
He loves SAABs just like us...it's that simple. He made it very convenient
for me to drop off and pickup my car. He was also very honest, he did not
make me pay for things my car did not need.

I got a 1995 saab 9000 turbo with a bad knock in the engine. I called Sandy
and asked him how much to replace the engine if I got the engine myself, and
he quoted me a great price. During every step of the new install Sandy allowed
me to watch and even assist in all aspects of the work. I've been driving the
car for about six months now without any problems what so ever with the engine.
I'ver even had several other problems with the car which sandy diagnosed and
took care of. I would highly recommend Sandy to anyone with a Saab. These cars
a little testy and need to be taken care of properly and Sandy does an excellent
job of that. I'm a firm believer if you take care of your Saab It will definitely
take care of you and give you long years of enjoyment. I'll never take My Saab
anywhere else. As long as I own a Saab Sandy will be my Mechanic.

Russ & Cathy Cleaton have provided me with excellent personalized service
for a little over a year now. Russ is an outstanding technician, who isn't
afraid to admit that he doesn't know everything. Russ's philosophy is "If
it isn't broke, don't fix it". He typically will diagnose a problem then
contact the owner for discussion *before* he makes the repair.  Russ has
repaired many small items for me gratis. I applaud these people and their
efforts and highly recommend and support them.
