SUN VISOR FIX: I was able to fix the sun visor on my 91 9000 by cutting
away about 1/2 inch of visor material where the visor shaft enters the
visor. This exposes the metal sleeve that the visor shaft runs in. I
placed a small hose clamp around the sleeve (you will have to drill or cut
away a small amount of the plastic material that supports the sleave to
allow the clamp to get around the sleave and shaft, but this will be
obvious when you cut away the visor material). The clamp provides friction
between the shaft and the sleave, and really does not look to bad because
most of the time you don't see it with the visor in the up position.
Blacken the exposed foam with a black marker and the repair is almost
invisible. The repair should not take more than 15 minutes. Make sure to
remove visor first.

I fixed mine by simply jamming a plastic straw onto the metal rod and pushing
the asembly back into the visor, its worked for a couple years now.
