Subject: Re: 89 900 ignition cylinder jammed?

the problem is with a metal wand that wipes into place when you park-lock it in reverse. the wand is the device thatretains the shifter in reverse. the thing will come undone if you jiggle it enough. mine used to jam when i parked on an incline. must have been sonething about the angle of the dangle or something. i had to replace the ignition switch (no small task) and while i was in there i removed the latching wand. if you go to the shop expect the bill to be around $300.00 Den6N wrote: > Has anyone had the experience of having the console-mounted key > cylinder jam on them?
