First the window gets wobbly when the weld that holds the cross member on the center guide for the window breaks. If ignored. the bolt or braket at the other end of the guide breaks sooner or later and instead the window going down the guide will pop up through the rubber molding on the inside of the window frame (a shocking experience). The standard solution is to replace the window regulator (thats what they call the whole mechanism). I found that if you remove the regulator, drill and tap the center guide, bolt the cross member to the guide, grind off the excess bolt that extends through the guide, and reinstall the regulator it works fine. The first repair has held up for about 2 years so far. The spot weld that they use to fasten the cross member to the guide looks like it is disigned to fail. I think a bolt, even if it is only held by two threads, will outlast the weld. Good luck, Ramsey Frist (USA) '85 900 T 5 speed '94 9000 CSE Auto '98 9000 CSE 5 speed
