To clarify things a bit: There are fog lights *and* there are driving lights. Fog lights are designed with a lens the spreads the light to the sides and projects very little to the front (perhaps 30 feet). They are only of use at low speeds due to the short throw. Driving lights are designed to throw a beam a very long distance forward and assist when driving at high speeds or in very dark (country side) areas. That said, most people don't know one from the other and just assume that it's OK to drive with either of them on full time. Bob
