The car is a 1993, and the nearest Saab dealer is either in St. Louis or Memphis, 3 hours either way one goes. Down here in the bootheel of Missouri, the only car dealerships are Ford, GM, Chrysler, and "pickup trucks!" The dealer said that he had $1500 in the damn thing, had it priced at $1600 for six months and that I was the first person who showed any interest at all! This dealership is in a town of only 1500 people. He said that he just didn't want to invest any more money in the car. I'm probably have a mechanic take a look at it, just for the hell of it. Who knows. > > Which prompts the question why a dealer wouldn't fix it himself... > What year is the car, BTW?
