There is not a recall or service campaign for 1999-2003 9-5 models. There is a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB). This TSB is for oil leakage from the from the timing cover/head gasket area of the motor and that the Crankcase Ventilation system is to modified before any other methods are used to address the leakage. This TSB is in its 3rd edition. There is also a service campaign for the 2004-2005 9-5 models that also deals with Crankcase Ventilation problems. In this case, under very specific conditions, oil consumption can increase. Recalls are forever and cost nothing. Service Campaigns are only free while in effect, usually 2 year from issue. TSBs are only free if the car meets the specific conditions/symptoms AND the car is under factory or Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) warranty. ALWAYS have a used car check out by a knowledgeable person BEFORE you buy it Steve
