My 2006 9-3T auto got crunched a couple of days ago, and I'm pretty sure it's going to be a write off. I was never particularly enamoured with the car. I thought it was a bit underpowered, a bit cramped, and in the two or so years I had it it cost me a small fortune in repairs.

I happened to notice a 2007 9-3 Aero 6 speed for sale nearby. The 250HP V6 covers one aspect I didn't like in the previous car, but perhaps nothing else. Did they work out any significant bugs between model years 2006 and 2007?

My biggest repair was the engine computer, which cost about half what the car was worth. It also took three tries to get one that worked, including one used one and one "new" one, having to drive three hours and wait all day three separate times. Is the computer in the same location (i.e. right on the freaking engine block) on the V-6 as well? If so, it's just a ticking time bomb.
