Totally wild guess; your mileage may vary.
When I installed LED headlights on my 2010 9-3, I discovered that if I left the doors unlocked, they flashed every second or so (forever, or at least for a very long time) because the ISM was checking the bulbs for continuity. (It does the same thing when you have halogen bulbs, but the continuity checking current isn't enough to light halogen bulbs).
But with the doors locked, the flashing stopped after a minute or so.
I wonder if removing the fuses on the headlight circuit on your vehicle might bring the current down to near 0 (starting about a minute or two after you lock the doors).
Again, totally wild-ass guess....
