That's a good point. There is a flakey issue with some or all 9-5's that a defective temp sensor confuses the ECU and does not allow the vehicle to start. I don't know if this impacts 9-3's. Happened to my 9-5 and as a result of an obscure post on this site I tried a new OE temp sensor and vrooooooommmm it started right away and it's been fine for years.
