Related questions: 2008 Turbo-X with Taliaferro performance expansion tank.
(1) I have coolant loss, but no obvious (to me) leaks. Non-Saab mechanic said it's somewhere related to the water pump, which I had them replace a year ago. It's about a pint to refill after every drive. No temp gauge change. Amazing, to me, is it's not those two hoses on the top! Any ideas since there are no puddles on the garage floor?
(2) As part of the diagnosis, I discovered the Cosworth 1.5 bar cap, also a year old, failed. The rivet broke and spring came loose. So I'm reluctant to stick with Cosworth. Since its for the custom tank, the Make & Model searches for replacement parts don't work. It looks like the same size cap as my wife's Subaru Forester Turbo. Advance Auto piece of junk cap seems to have lost the bottom flange in a week. NAPA's Subaru (Sankei) cap is a different pressure rating.
What standards are used to describe radiator caps?
Like is it a "mini" and pressure = 1.5 bar = 22 psi = 1.55 kg/cm2 = 152 KPa (I converted all the numbers)?
