I haven't purchased a replacement thermostat yet as the only ones I can find locally are of chain Auto Store brand, same with Temp Sensor. I think I was forced to buy a Duralast brand temp sensor back in May as nothing else could be found locally.
Guess I will order both from one of the SAAB specialty houses to get reputable brands.
I have a drain pan that I use exclusively for coolant and I will slide that under the car before removing the thermostat cover.
Thanks for your reply!
