Hello Listmates. I'm previous owner of 7 Saabs including Aero, SPG, Viggen CVT and left the fold about 10 years ago. Have returned with my new acquisition yesterday: 2007 9-3 CVT. Just noticed today when checking spare tire that there was about an inch of clear water in the well. Area does not show any signs of long term standing water or seepage, i.e, no rust, spare absolutely clean, tool set absolutely clean. Maybe I got water in trunk when I was washing tire rims with top down but that's lot of water. No dampness to roof or any area in trunk except possibly very slight area upper right shelf area near tail light. No rust spots in that area though. Thoughts? My negligence in using the hose or is this a problem area with this vintage 9-3 convertibles? Very strange that absolutely no past signs of water seepage or standing for 14 year old car unless never driven in rain or run through car washes.
