Well, for the first time since 2001, there is no more Saab in my driveway. Yesterday, I delivered our beloved 9-3 Aero XWD to a guy that owns a few of them, most of them black, V6 and AWD... She will be surrounded also by a red SPG, a few Viggens (even a red one!), two 9-5s, a 9-3X and a OG900 Cabrio.
I will clearly miss the rumble and the torque of the V6, the drifts in the snow and the summer track days at Mecaglisse, the cool looks even years after...
The new ride is still Swedish, but bigger and automatic. At least, it's a wagon. There is now a 2017 V90 Cross-Country T6 where the 9-3 was parked for 9 years.
And in the true spirit of my former Saabs and Audi (1983 5-cylinder urQuattro), this one has also a unique engine : a supercharged and turbocharged 2.0 liter. At least, the mechanical quirkyness I cherish still exits!
Goodbye virtual friends, I had a nice ride in all these Saabs. This forum helped me a lot over the years to keep my Saabs on the road.
I may come back someday... How knows?
